Something that made my Trinidad and Tobago trip more enjoyable was to be able to download a few apps to my phone that gave me a better experience and helped in more times than I can count. These apps were a game changer on my latest Trinidad Carnival 2023 trip.
*MASQUERADER XPERIENCE & DJUNCTION:
Both of these apps are used to track the trucks, DJ’s, food distribution, utilities available at each carnival band as well as costume distribution information. This is a great tool to use during Carnival season in Trinidad and Tobago.
*MYDIGICEL @digiceltrinbago:
This app allows you to track usage of your local SIM card with Digicel, current balance, able to top off and reload plan, check on your data usage.
Something that has come in CLUTCH while traveling abroad has been using a local SIM CARD during my stay. Not only do I save money because I am not paying Verizon their $10 a day, but I also get the fastest speed on the local network because of the local SIM card.
*TT RIDESHARE @ttrideshare:
You can order rides from this app to easy transport around Trinidad and Tobago. No surprises with the fare as the apps determines the ride cost.
*FOOD DROP @fooddroptt:
This is a great app to order meal delivery services. From groceries to takeout, this app saved me more than once in Trinidad, specially when there were no taxi rides or the restaurant were not available at that time; FoodDrop provides delivery service and keeps their menu and store information up to date. Food Drop app includes a wide variety of restaurants and stores to choose from.
PIN TT
This app is like the Ebay from Trinidad and Tobago; people can buy and sell anything on the app. It is consider a market place. Use it at your own discretion.
Have you tried any of these apps? How was your experience?Did I miss any? 樂
